I just wanted to take a moment and talk about facial hair removal because it seems like one of those topics that no one ever really likes to discuss, yet it affects almost every woman and even some men everywhere.  Obviously, facial hair is a topic that many are embarrassed about, but it is important to look at some of the basic ways that people use to remove their unwanted facial hair, so that everyone can learn.

To start with, there are many traditional methods to remove facial hair that have been used over the last several hundred years.  Everyone should be familiar with the idea of tweezing, plucking, waxing, and shaving that are normally used to maintain and eliminate unwanted hair.  In addition, everyone probably knows how uncomfortable these hair removal procedures can be and how they require constant maintenance.

For this reason, more modern techniques have been developed over the last several years to combat facial hair.

Electrolysis Facial Hair Removal

Electrolysis is one of the earliest means of modern hair removal.  It uses heat to kill the hair growth areas at the follicle.  As this technology has advanced it has become much less irritating to the surrounding skin and is considered the only truly permanent form of hair removal.

The only issue is that electrolysis only affects one hair follicle at a time, which means that it can take a very long time to remove all the unwanted facial hair.  It will take several long sessions to remove everything, but once it is done, you do not have to worry about that hair growing back.

Laser Facial Hair Removal

Is the newest form of hair removal and has become more and more popular as the lasers have bee refined.  Laser hair removal still requires several sessions, but they are much shorter and can be completed in a little as ten minutes over a lunch break.  Each session with the laser reduces the speed of hair growth and number of hairs.  Typically, four to six sessions spread over several months will be all you need to achieve the effect you desire.

I hope this has been a helpful introduction to facial hair removal.  Let me know what your hair removal experiences have been like.
